Now this is a cherry coke!

On Wednesday I explored two locations - Fashion Valley Mall and Old Town San Diego. From the outside Fashion Valley looks like your typical mall - but it is not enclosed. Here is a picture from the food court on the second floor:

Since I really didn't need anything, I didn't stay at the mall very long. I went to Old Town San Diego and enjoyed the history and unique shops it had to offer.
There was a live band here, but when I came back to take a picture, they were gone!
I sent Les an email with this picture...
I also learned about the 12-step chocoholics program: Never be more than 12 steps away from chocolate!I spent a little time in the Seeley Stable Museum.
I also learned why the area we were staying in was called "Hazard Center." It wasn't because of earthquakes, but was named for R.E. Hazard. "Pappy" Hazard was a San Diego cattle rancher whose construction company later paved many of the roads in the city.
It's amazing what you learn when you stop and read signs! I love his motto - "Be Just and Fear Not." If you ARE just, you won't have nearly as much to fear in life.
