In Southern California we have four seasons - Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fire. Today, as the official first day of Fall, Santa Ana winds started blowing. It was 103 with 5% humidity. HIGH fire alert. Les emailed that there is a fire between Fillmore and Moorpark, that's not far from us. As a matter of fact, we were on roads Saturday that are now closed due to this fire.
I thought I'd check online for any news, here's the headline that caught my attention:
Ventura County fire burns 6,000 acres;
caused by spontaneous combustion of manure
I did NOT make that up!!
LATimes.com Wildfires are no laughing matter, especially for residents who have been evacuated. I'd say this one "stinks!"
