May 17th ~ Season (Photo a Day)

Today's word stumped me a little ~ I'm not sure how to capture an endless season of warm days.  The surf has been high the last couple of days and the waves were magnificent as I went for my run.

Four miles in to my eight miler, I experienced a "season" ~ rain came pouring down for about 10 minutes!  I was a soggy mess for the rest of my run, but that comes with living on a tropical island. 

Beyond the weather, this has definitely been a new season for us.  Far from home, out of my comfort zone, but living and loving life on our island adventure!  Last night we walked to Ala Moana Park to watch the sunset.  We sat on a wall and watched surfers.

I kept an eye on the waves as they grew larger.  I stood up about 30 seconds before one crashed on the wall.  Les was left sitting in a puddle!

No matter where we are, I don't want to miss whatever God has for us.

Lord, whatever You're doing in the season
Don't do it without me.
Don't do it without me.

A New Season

My favorite season of the year is upon us - Spring! I love the cool mornings and warm afternoons. The later sunsets. Temps that are ideal - no need to run the heat or the air. I'm one the of lucky non-allergy sufferers, so I even enjoy everything that is blooming.



I enjoyed an 11 mile run this morning and thought of Ecclesiastes chapter 3:

1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

So many times we stop with verse 8, especially when we are in an unpleasant season. But verse 11 gives us the conclusion of the matter:

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time...

Whatever your season, remember that God is at work, making it beautiful in His time.
