We're headed north this morning. We'll be traveling up the 395 then heading west on California route 89, over Monitor Pass. Destination: Markleeville, California, home to the Tour of the California Alps, AKA the Death Ride.
Once again, Les will be tackling the monster ride ~ 129 miles, 15,000 feet of climbing, over 5 mountain passes. We're looking forward to some cooler temps and a visit to our favorite pizza place!
Why will he do this, you ask? Because earning five stickers once just wasn't enough!
