We were two content travelers as we made our way back to our hotel. We saw a taste of home:
But opted for something from a local shop instead. It had chocolate and peanut butter, what more do you need?
So many beautiful sights along the way and the weather was wonderful. In fact we saw mild temperatures for the majority of our trip and never got rained on in 19 days!
I had to take a picture of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers since that is Les' first college degree:
We meandered through St. James Park, which was quite lovely:
We didn't know that we would step out of the park and find Buckingham Palace!
We weren't there to see the changing of the guard, but we did spy a few of them doing their duty:
And we spotted one more taste of home!
We were happy to make our way back to our hotel and were in bed by 9:00 p.m. I do my best not to think about what time it is at home and get on the current time zone as quickly as possible. Not taking a nap earlier in the day really helped and we slept until 9:00 a.m. the next morning!
