Throught It All

Les and I were talking the other day how that one year ago we were in the midst of a very difficult storm. If you'd like to read the entire story, click here to start, then read Newer Posts. In a nutshell, Les had gone in for a "simple" surgery that was suppose to include a single night in the hospital. Due to scar tissue from a previous surgery, things did not go well and Les ended up with a tear in his esophagus. He spent eight days in the hospital and could have nothing (food or drink) by mouth for seven of those days.

I took the time to reread the all posts about that time on Sunday. When Les saw what I was doing, he said, "that was sad." But we both agreed that the end of the story was not sad! About half way through the ordeal I wrote When God Surprises Doctors. Nothing that goes on in our lives is ever a surprise to God. He always knows the outcome. Then the words of an old Andrae Crouch song came to mind:

So if you're in the middle of a storm, keep holding on. God WILL bring you through, He may even surprise a doctor or two while He's at it!
