During my eye appointment last week, I discovered I have unusual vision (at least it seems that way to me). My optometrist said, "You drive with one eye and read with the other." In other words, I'm near sighted in one eye and far sighted in the other - one eye compensates for the other in whatever I'm doing.Jesus had something to say about our eyes:
Matthew 6:22-23 (King James Version)We can't have dual vision when it comes to good and evil. Reading the Bible with one eye and watching porn with the other will only bring great darkness. An eye full of light cannot compensate for an eye that is evil. The evil causes the entire body to be full of darkness.
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
I also like how The Message puts it:
Your eyes are windows into your body. If you open your eyes wide in wonder and belief, your body fills up with light. If you live squinty-eyed in greed and distrust, your body is a dank cellar. If you pull the blinds on your windows, what a dark life you will have!I want my body, my being, my life, to be filled with His light!

What an excellent post -- I love the way you compared it to what the bible says -- it just could not be further from the truth. Thank you for being such an inspiration to your blog followers and most importantly to our youth and your little peeps!! YES, I love the pics too! LOL!
