This post will have a series of updates as the day progresses.
8:55 AM: Les and I arrived in San Francisco last evening. We spent a few hours with Dad at the hospital. He was in good spirits and very calm. He had pain in his stomach from Wednesday's surgery and a sore throat due to a tube that had been down his throat during surgery.
He is scheduled for surgery at 1:00 pm today. We will have some time to visit this morning prior to him going in for the second round. We appreciate all your prayers so much!
12:00 Update: Dad went to surgery at 11:45. They said the surgery will be 6 hours. And now we wait.
6:00 Update: Surgery went well, lasted about 4 hours. Dad will be in ICU overnight as a precaution, but he is doing good. Praying for rest and healing tonight.
